Cable Bay joins Negociants NZ portfolio

Negociants New Zealand has announced that Cable Bay Vineyards has joined its national distribution portfolio, effective 1st August 2025.

Founded in 1998, Cable Bay Vineyards has become a leading producer on Waiheke Island, with a reputation for expressive, site-driven wines crafted from sustainably farmed vineyards.

The portfolio will include Cable Bay’s core range of Waiheke-grown wines, including their acclaimed Chardonnay, Syrah, and Bordeaux blends, as well as selected wines from their Awatere Valley Marlborough vineyards.

“We are delighted to welcome Cable Bay to the Negociants New Zealand family,” said Dean McHenry, General Manager of Negociants NZ. “Their reputation for quality and their position as a flagship Waiheke producer make them a natural fit within our curated portfolio. This partnership allows us to offer our customers a distinctive expression of one of New Zealand’s most unique wine regions.”

Cable Bay’s owner, Loukas Petrou, echoed the sentiment: “Partnering with Negociants New Zealand is an exciting step for us. We are passionate about crafting premium wines from our own low yielding vineyards, nurtured sustainably and regeneratively. It is great to work with a team who shares those values and can help bring our wines to more people who care about quality and provenance.”
