Parrotdog to mark 15 years with brewery festival
Parrotdog Brewery has announced plans to celebrate its 15th anniversary with a free music and beer festival at its Lyall Bay brewery in Wellington on Saturday 1 August.
The brewery was founded in 2011 by three friends – Matt Kristofski, Matt Stevens, and Matt Warne – who had started out home-brewing.
“Reaching 15 years is a significant milestone for any independent brewery,” says Paul Watson, Managing Director at Parrotdog. “We're grateful to have achieved it with the support of our team, shareholders and customers across New Zealand, along with the wider Wellington community that's been behind us since day one.”
“We've always believed good beer brings people together, so it felt right to celebrate with a day of incredible music, great food and everyone who's supported us along the way. We're looking forward to throwing the doors open and welcoming people to the brewery to celebrate with us.”
The event – Fifteen Years In Flight – will showcase Parrotdog's full range of beers and special 15th anniversary releases and feature performances from The Circling Sun (Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland), DARTZ (Te Whanganui-a-Tara, Wellington), There's A Tuesday (Ōtautahi, Christchurch) and Felix Bird (Te Whanganui-a-Tara, Wellington), and DJ collective Last Light (Te Whanganui-a-Tara, Wellington).
