Winners in the New World Beer & Cider Awards
Panhead Port Road Pilsner has been crowned the Supreme Champion at the 2026 New World Beer & Cider Awards, taking the top spot from more than 650 beers and ciders entered from producers across Aotearoa.
The 2026 Top 25 were selected after three days of blind-tasting by an independent judging panel, with beers and ciders assessed across a broad range of styles and flavours, including classic pilsners, hazy IPAs, fruit-forward ciders, smoothie sours, brewed sodas and alcohol-free options.
Panhead Port Road Pilsner was noted for its balance, flavour and drinkability, showcasing bright citrus-floral hop character alongside a clean, crackery malt base.

This year’s event sees the introduction of public voting, with customers invited to vote for the beer or cider they want to see crowned the 2026 New World Beer & Cider Awards People's Choice winner. Voting closes on 20 September 2026.
